Responsibility to our customers, to the environment,
and to ourselves

ReadSoft approaches sustainable development from a social, environmental, and financial perspective. To this aim, we’ve implemented a number of policies and directives that govern our daily work. Combined with our leadership philosophy, these values form the basis of ReadSoft’s corporate culture.

Work environment and employee satisfaction

Direct responsibility for work-environment issues lies within each local unit of ReadSoft. At ReadSoft AB in Sweden, there is a task force devoted to maintaining a positive working environment.

As part of its continuous improvement efforts, ReadSoft conducts a global employee survey every 18-24 months. The purpose of the survey is to identify potential areas for improvement and thereby build a more efficient organization that preserves the company’s positive corporate culture and improves its results.

Our responsibility to the environment

Leaves

ReadSoft aims to free businesses around the world from unnecessary paperwork by replacing manual paper-processing tasks with technology solutions.

ReadSoft helps companies reduce paper consumption and worker injuries, thus contributing to a sustainable society. ReadSoft estimates that its invoice processing solution alone spares the world of 1.5 billion paper copies per year – equal to more than 30,000 trees or 2,000 tons of CO2 emissions. To further boost its ecological impact, ReadSoft plants new trees in Africa, near Lake Victoria.

ReadSoft solutions are primarily delivered to customers through an internet-based link, creating no environmental impact during delivery. To optimize distribution of physical materials related to its solutions, ReadSoft maintains a local stock in each of its regional subsidiaries. Additionally, ReadSoft’s customers achieve environmental gains when implementing e-invoicing solutions through the reduced need for transport of paper.

Direct responsibility for environmental issues is assigned locally to each ReadSoft unit. Daily operations must be in accordance with the ReadSoft Environmental Policy, including the following measures:

  • Compliance with all applicable environmental legislation and requirements in effect in the markets in which ReadSoft operates
  • Proactive efforts to reduce waste, reuse materials, and recycle when possible
  • Prevention of operations that contaminate the environment
  • Environmental consideration when designing and choosing locations for offices
  • Continuous improvement and implementation of best practices in environmental work
